Make yourself at home on the shores of Lake Windermere, we have a 6,000 acre estate that is yours to explore. Freedom and fresh air is all part of the experience when you stay at Graythwaite Home Farm. We offer a range of individual self-catering holiday cottages. If your priority is convenience, the converted farmstead is ideal - with a children’s play area, table tennis room, swimming pool and fitness suite. Something more private? Secluded cottages and conversions within the estate’s grounds allow you to relax in style and take in the tranquil surroundings.  Some are on Lake Windermere all have breath taking views.

All our cottages are graded at 4 stars and range in size from small cottages for two to large conversions sleeping ten. We pride our self on maintaining high standards, all premises have central heating, open fire or wood buring stove (Logs provided) and modern kitchen appliances as standard. To assure you of an enjoyable stay at Graythwaite we believe in high levels of personal service. Although we will never intrude on your peace and quiet, there’s always someone to assist you and provide information should you require it.  

Exciting renovation project now underway.

This important country house within the Graythwaite estate will be ready for weddings, conferences and holiday letting from the 1st October 2012. The main house sleeps 16 having 8 bedrooms all en suite. Coachman's Cottage which goes with Silverholme is within the garden, and sleeps an additional 2 people.

Silverholme is in an enviable location with gardens sweeping down to Lake Windermere, the quality of fixtures and fittings are second to none. With access to the lake this is a perfect treat for a large family gathering, special celebration, wedding or business meeting.
